Teaching

I teach two courses to fourth year undergrad students in the Commerce program at DeGroote School of Business of McMaster University.

The course Sustainability: Corporations and Society (4SG3) covers major environmental sustainability challenges from a business perspective.

This a case-based course that seeks to equip students with the latest debate in environmental sustainability, providing a critical discussion of the role of the private sector.

The other course I am teaching is an International Business (4SA3) course that covers introductory issues in international trade, investment and financial markets. The course acquaints students with major trade and investment theories, and provides a practical understanding of the functioning of monetary and financial markets.

I also maintain a teaching affiliation with Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia), where I have served as an Adjunct Lecturer since 2018. Among others, I have taught Advanced Quantitative Research Methods for doctoral students at the university’s School of Commerce.

I have also provided short-term training for practitioners in Africa. In the fall of 2022, I worked for the Economic Commission for Africa to provide an intensive training on Green Technologies for entrepreneurs in Africa.
